Dear Friends,

I am writing this letter because I want to share with you a new concert series that I am involved with The Celebrate Life Concert Series is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation which was created September of 2001. It was started with a simple desire to reach out to our community by promoting classical music through concerts. The goal is that the concerts will be family friendly, educational and can be enjoyed and appreciated by everyone, adults and children alike. At the same time every concert will be a benefit concert which will spotlight area charitable ministries and give them much needed financial help. Our community will benefit in so many ways.

There will be at least two concerts annually with the highest caliber of classical musicians from around the country performing right here in Ocala. With all concerts in the Celebrate Life Concert Series, 100% of the proceeds generated from ticket sales will be donated directly to a pre-selected, low profile, under funded, Christian faith-based organization right here in Marion County. These organizations are recommended by individuals, businesses, local churches and other organizations. The board of directors will select one or two ministries per concert to be spotlighted.

Concert dates this year are:

February 26, 2005, 2 PM at The Appleton Museum.
Rodrigo Puskas, Violin with Marie Jo, Piano.
Tickets are $10 and will benefit Interfaith.

Seating is limited.

After every concert there will be a reception -- this will give the folks an opportunity to meet representatives from the spotlighted organizations and the featured artists -- as well as sample the delicious, delectable pastries. Can't you just imagine the fun and the excitement?!

In order to cover the cost and expenses of the concerts, we are dependent on the generosity and support of local individuals, businesses and corporations-- through the different levels of sponsorships, in the sale of ads in the concert program, and the purchase of tickets. You can also support an artist or group (travel expenses, accommodation, etc.). There is also opportunities to volunteer your time and talents, whether it be as a greeter, usher, ticket taker & seller, public relations person to contact businesses, help put together a newsletter, etc. What ever you choose to do will be greatly appreciated. In order to achieve our goals, we need your support and prayers.

In Christ,

Joyce Bowden
